As a community-engaged social practice artist, providing programming alongside my exhibited work is a key component of my creative process. I have done a range of trash art & plastic weaving workshops in both individual formats (participants work on their own individual piece to bring home) and collaborative formats (participants work together to create a piece to be displayed publicly). I always encourage participants to collect and bring their own recycled materials to the workshops, and have also paired workshops with an environmental clean-up of a river or shared greenspace to gather materials.
